RV Stuck in the Mud!

I guess it would have happened at some time, we got stuck in the mud. The wheels spun round and round with no movement forward. Mark had driven onto a dry, earth covered, parking area in the process of being flattened. Yet part way across the wheels bedded in and spun, and we were going no where. Apparently there was water underneath the top earth so making the ground very soft. No signs to warn people not to drive here though!

Fortunately there was a man with tractor near by and came to our rescue. Initially we tried using the tractor to pull us out. That did not work, not budged an inch. Wheels spun.

So one helpful guy directed the tractor to 'rear end us' pushing the RV forward using the heavy duty towing bar balanced on the tractor metal scoop edge.

bit stressful as if the scoop had slipped the RV would have had quite a different sort of rear ending!
