Halifax downtown in August hosts the international Buskers festival, along the river edge at various stages for 10 days. We visited one day and were entertained by (mostly) Australian acts. Those Aussie's can be pretty weird folk!
It was interesting to note the Canadian audience's responses. They are a conservative (is this the word I'm looking for??) lot it seems and the buskers worked really hard to rouse the enthusiasm level. Or perhaps it takes a lot to impress them.
We saw jugglers, fire eaters, circus style balancing/acrobatics. There was the regular assortment of stalls selling same stuff as UK. This photo of Mark was when he stopped by a Greyhound rescue and gave Tellington Touch (TTouch) to these lovely brindle dogs. Those that know Mark know that he cannot walk by when there are dogs about, for whom he has a lot of patience and kindly attention.
